Our next residential dates to follow soon…

Like any good story with more than a hint of adventure, knowing the details of what happens ahead of time would spoil the mystery and magic. The same goes for a Rite to Freedom residential. Signing up is stating clearly that you are ready to take a leap of faith, from one life threshold to another. This will hopefully lead to a new stage in your life, new growth and healing.

The residential can be a challenging but ultimately deeply rewarding experience. We will be with you every step of the way.

The support staff have all gone through the residential experience themselves. We are all connected in some way to addiction recovery.

I have made so many dear and true friends since my residential. The legacy has been that I have a beautiful circle of friends that I regularly meet up with outside of Rite to Freedom and also in Rite to Freedom. I also found that being in community and able to connect in lockdown really helped with the impact of isolation.

A typical Rite to Freedom residential will take place over two nights and three days. You will follow a story told throughout our time together. This mythical story is intended to mirror your internal healing journey.

What an experience and amazing introduction to Rite to Freedom. After years of not feeling ‘part of’ I have now found a safe place to open my heart, be vulnerable and connect with others who are on the recovery path. I have a positive changed view of myself which has given me nourishment and more determination to enjoy the joy life has to offer. Thank you.

We will spend time on the land, time together and time alone.

Food will be wholesome and delicious, and accommodation comfortable, warm and dry.

Our staff all share lived experience of addiction recovery. We will lead you skilfully and sensitively through our time together, exploring blocks and strengths to your recovery and life.

Our intention is for you to leave the retreat feeling resourced and inspired, ready to meet new challenges.

You will be warmly welcomed into a thriving, compassionate R2F recovery community.

To attend a residential, we require participants to have a minimum of six months clean time from their addictive behaviour. To find out more about what that means in practice, click below to read about our definitions of addiction, and how we make decisions about who gets a place on our residentials.

Rite to Freedom has been a huge part in personal growth for me. One area that I struggled with I found it extremely difficult to speak in groups, even my name. Since being with the Rite to Freedom tribe I now am confident to speak in groups and that would never happened if I wasn’t given the support the safe space and encouragement it’s huge for me , also I can’t live without nature connection now and this has come from Home Turf Days and time on Dartmoor

I think the major thing that has come through for me has been the serenity of the place, the chance to be quiet, and to have space, peace and quiet. And to let the negative stuff from my everyday life filter out, and just be open to good stuff.
